ahbu's cosfest report

I know it has been long since 5/6th July.. I'm blogging now coz I'm bored and too lazy to study for AIMM.. zzz

I think I didn't do as well as last year's.. I went late on both days coz 5th was VC camp and I had to rush my homework on the 6th..

Plus, that silly girl, ahzu ar.. She had to emo a few days before Cosfest and announce to the world that "oh, I abandoned all my cosplay plans.." I was like "WHAT?! WHAT ABOUT MY SHUAI GE?!" I already mentally prepared myself not to go to this year's cosfest since she's not going.. Then on the day itself, she smsed me and said she'll be there by 1pm.. I was O.O! and -.-"

ahhh.. I love Jesuke's Cloud..

Lenneth's Cos Mod was on Life section (The Straits Times) the following Monday..

Too bad Sherman didn't get to see Skye's that day.. haha..

dave hill effect

I attended Alfred's and Dicky's Photoshop workshop today and got introduced to the so-called Dave Hill effect.. Basically, Dave Hill is a photographer who came out with this unique photo processing skill of turning his subjects a bit American-cartoonish..

So I found this tutorial online which teaches the you step-by-step of how to get this effect.. And I thought Seijiro's Billy Kane would suit this effect quite well.. And so I tried..

And failed.... T-T

Maybe I should try out on ahzu's photos too! hehe..

Roars! Guess you still need the equipments like the multiple lights and flash to get the correct lighting and tones on the skin before you can get the legendary Dave Hill effect! Photoshop isn't everything.. haha..

On the other hand, watch this youtube video, (which Dickson found) which claims that PS is everything.. Especially the Liquefy tool.. Quite hilarious.. haha

Funny how we always talk about the villains and not the hero.

I wonder if Heath Ledger had not die, would Joker be so glorified?

I like the scene where he debuted.. He pulled off a mask to reveal another one.. But he failed to hide his ugliness and evil..

He's a deviant in his own twisted world.. He believes in the bane of humanity- that humans are born bad.. He believes the world is "indecent" beyond repair and so "why be so serious" about it.. He draws on wide grin on himself; only to laugh at this pathetic world..

The gun is too fast; a knife brings more fun.. He derives pleasure from running a knife down his victims' neck; only to hear them plead and shake off their once fearless self..

Humanity is ugly, just like his clown face. Or so he thought..

The fall of a villain brings the rise of another..

"You either die as a hero, or you live long enough to become the villain."

How aptly said.. But I find the plot development of Two-Face rather inadequate.. Perhaps, he sprung up too late in the story and the movie's too long for it to be able to end at 2.5hours..

Now comes the million dollar question.. Do you think that Two-Face really died?

Perhaps he was only put behind bars but to the public he was given a glorious sent-off as Harvey Dent?!

Well, I think there might be a part 3..

I had a shoot with Kyoist as Lavi last Saturday.. It was one of my most satisfying shoot this year..
