As my friends would know, my name is rather uncommon.. And guess what I found in this book called "Labs- Lightweight Littermates" at the Pets and Animals Corner at JE library..

A sad looking blue-eye, chocolate lab called DELIA!

Other names of the pups that appealed to me were..

ALFRED! Alfred is a FAT yellow lab which took up 2 pages.. But this fat Alfred is so cute! <3

Lastly.. NICK! Why are you showing your butt?! Tsktsktsk..

Well, I was at my favourite section at JE library to borrow some books so I could read on the plane to Shanghai.. Yes, ahbu is going to Shanghai for ahbu's Global Citizenship CDS trip.. From 30th March to 5th April, ahbu will be in Shanghai! zx is so busy she could only give me little tips about shopping and predicted that I will get ripped off.. -.-"

Anyway, because tomorrow's my cousin's wedding, I decided to perm my hair again since the curls are almost gone.. This was my first time trying digital perm..

I look like some cybrog with wires attached to my head.. LOL.. And it was damn heavy lahz! I couldn't move my head for like 20min..

My cousin's wedding is precisely why I can't celebrate yu(space)ning's birthday tomorrow at Ms Soh's place.. So sorry! But I promised that zx and I will celebrate with you on a later date with a K-box session!! Remember, ahbu loves you! (and da tou too!) =D

Tag, you're it!

Well, that's the game not to ever let the human possessed by the ghost to touch you if not you are done for..

Watched Rule #1 with Alfred, Noel and Liu Ying yesterday.. It is a great police thriller+horror movie.. Not the typical scare-you-only horror movie, but a horror movie with a plot, just like Kelvin Tong's previous works..

I like how they filmed the head of the police force.. His face was never shown; just his hands, his rank on his shoulders and his food.. Shows really how superior he really is.. You know, like a BIG GIANT, whom you can't see his face from where you are standing..

As usual when I watch horror movies, my eyes are covered for like half of the movie (but heck, it's only $6 on weekdays!).. Alfred tried to yank my jacket off and scare me by grabbing my arm in the middle of the movie.. -.-"

The ending was indeed confusing.. You wouldn't wanna accept "the truth".. I thought about it and found that I was actually myself who was rejecting the "actual ending"; preferring to accept the happier one..

I will only watch horror movies with a plot..

I feel so bhb writing that title but I am very happy about the unexpected outcome of yesterday's wonderful photoshoot..

Presenting my ahzu as Tifa Lockheart..

I super like this photo (though Alfred says it would be better if she had looked into the space)!  I like the space which the logo fits perfectly.. I love the tiled wall..

Somehow, she looks VERY DIFFERENT with long hair.. I still prefer bishie ahzu with short hair! >-< She looks like a little girl girl here.. Ya, for once Valda and I must agree that she's not Manny.. LOL

I dunno how I thought of this angle but well, I must be bhb and say that it's good! <3

lol.. Ahzu looks chibified here right? Coz my angle was too high that I "shrunk" her.. but looks shhoo cute I wanna pinch her cheeks! *pinches* By the way, this is the original colour.. Ahzu added a filter to all the other pics so that they give a grey and bleak feeling that Midgar gives..

  This is the classic "spiderman pose".. Thanks swiftwing for lighting up her face! Initially, I had failed to lit it up properly.. And ya, I love her shoe..

I love this shot too! <3 I actually like the greyness though swiftwing says it deprives her of blood colour on her skin.. It really looks like Midgar lahz!

Out of the 3 photoshoots I have at this location (Chinatown), this Tifa one must be the best.. I think ahbu and ahzu make a great team! Coz we are so comfortable with each other.. haha..

I was so afraid that I would not be able to shoot this well coz at the start of the shoot, there was really "no feel".. Maybe also because I watched the movie again before going for the shoot and I had high expectations of the photos.. And ahzu was like putting all her faith on me coz I was her only photographer and this is her second try coz she was unhappy with her first 2 years ago.. I would not wanna fail her.. But well, the photos turned out great which made both of us feel really good! =)

And lastly, our resident saikang warrior, Valda! (Kim left early) Thanks so much for all your help! <3

Sidenote: I just bought Teppei's Pieces album from Chinatown for $18! There's a DVD inside showing his photoshoot for the album.. Like OMG, so much <33333

army daze..

Holidays are mixing up my sense of time (not as bad as Dickson's though) that I nearly forgot tomorrow's a public holiday till ostaf messaged me "Are you free tomorrow?" (Coz stay-in NSFs are only out on public holidays and weekends..)

SORRY REALLY SORRY COZ THE ANSWER MOST OF THE TIME IS "NO".. T-T I am rather busy even in the holidays.. I got myself tangled up in so many stuff.. haiz~

Talking about NSFs.. I JUST SAW THAM MING HWEE ON THE MRT! Like freaking coincidental lahz.. I was just feeling bad about "No" as I saw lotsa NSF on the mrt on my way to work.. Then at cck, there were vacant seats and I was about to sit on one when I looked at the green-uniformed guy in front and realised that he looks familiar.. And his name tag read "M H THAM".. LIKE OMG! He slimmed down so much lahz! Haiz~ Army is the best slimming centre I must say.. We talked till I reached Bukit Batok.. Hmmx.. Army really changes people..

All your ORDs come quickly please! I promise my weekdays will be more free! So I can spend as much time as you want with you guys till you enter university!

I wished my weekend was free sia.. Then ostaf can utilise his SAFRA card and watch "Rule #1" this weekend.. Coz of some reasons, I was unable to watch today.. -.-"  GRRR! I bet they would be more than willing to see the hell scared outta me than Alfred complaining that I am too noisy during movies..

Anyway, my firefox is damn cute now especially with the little red fox at the corner! <333 And I love the Speed Dial add-on I just installed.. This is probably one thing I have to thank Alfred for..

back from vc chalet in one piece!

NSRCC is even ulu-er than Aloha Changi Loyang.. According to Alfred, the nearest bus stop is a one-hour walk.. Thanks to Suan Yang for renting the Kangoo and driving us around!

The highlight of the chalet was Alvin's and Janice's drunkenness.. I AM SO NOT GONNA DRINK VOLKA AT CHALETS! The last time I witnesses a drunkard was jq at hp's house during the countdown stayover.. But all he did was to sit there and stone.. And all that Alvin did was.. *speechless* Please watch the video Dickson took at Yawen's blog..  Thanks to the guys- Alfred, Noel and Dickson- for keeping Alvin down.. Even in his drunken state, he is still quite strong due to his Muay Thai training.. If not for you guys, I guess the girls would be frigthened out of our wits.. And Janice is quite cute in her drunken state.. haha! The scene was so comical that I don't know whether to laugh or be frigthened..

Thanks Noel for bringing your guitar heroes.. It provided me much entertainment though I was good at pressing the keys with just one hand.. My pinky finger is just so inflexible.. I concluded that I would not be able to play musical instruments due to my poor coordination of my fingers.. Thanks Noel for bringing your telescope too! It gave "gazing at stars" a total new meaning especially with that awesome green laser pointer!

Lastly, I would like to thank Kai Xin for bringing and lending me her "My Favourite Girl" movie DVD! I know I've said that I watched it on tudou.. But nothing beats watching it in high resolution and taking screencaps!

It was her first love; and it was a love so deep she couldn't forget about it..

Yes, the plot IS typical, but nevertheless it didn't fail to warm my heart.

It's cute how their relationship started out. She lost her phone. He picked it up and returned to her without revealing who he was. He got her number and called her anonymously during the summer break. The mysterious stranger over the phone intrigued her. Their sharing of thoughts and snippets of their lives brought them together.

Their relationship started even before she meant him when the school starts. But it was only then that she knew his name-Hiro.. A name she will never forget..

The scene when they first met was cute.. Despite his cool, gangsterish look, it was weird for him to be so sweet to a girl.. He's fearsome outside but absolutely sweet inside.. I love his rebellious nature and his golden mane.. He's quite shuai lohz! <3 But it's more of the little sweet nothings he does that touches me than his appearance..

The acting is good except for the sex scenes.. Mika just doesn't seem comfortable even at second try.. Not natural lahz.. I sorta expected that she would get pregnant given the ah beng nature of her boyfriend.. I was rather disappointed when he ran out of the cafe when she told him that she is pregnant.. But it turned out that their baby was so important to them.. She was 16 then..

He broke up with her coz he knew he couldn't bring her happiness.. His sacrifice was a prove of how strong his love was for her.. Even till death, the only thing that mattered was her.. I never knew that a gangster's (or a guy for that matter) love could be so strong that every living moment penned down on his diary was all about her and only her.. He's just so sweet that if I were her I wouldn't give up too..

With the movie title in reference to sky, I couldn't help but love the Japanese sky! It's just so blue decorated with puffy white clouds.. It's just so apt that he describes himself as the sky; always looking upon her, caring for her..

When can I have a piece of that vast blue sky?

I was researching on Wikipedia for my Shanghai-Singapore comparison project when I found this picture under the Singapore's educational system..

It looks oddly familiar.. Then when I enlarged it, I realised it's the packed school hall of Nan Hua Secondary High School (it used to be "Secondary" when I studied there)!!!!

Like OMG! Why was NHHS' pic used to represent the education system in Singapore.. Then I suddenly remembered reading on ST some years back that KKH (not the hospital but Kua Kiat Hao) is one of the moderators of Wikipedia.. Guess having a Nan Hua alumni helps in promoting the school as a "Singapore icon" under Wikipedia..

It has been 2 years since we have been to 黄城! Though the tickets and booklets weren't as creative as previous year, the plays were up to expectations.. I especially like the last play which plot is the combination of the movie "Mr. Megorium's wonder Emporium" and the anime "Chobits".. I will say that it's better than the movie itself!

Before going for 黄城, I actually went to SMU for the Animal Day 2008! Since zx was in school doing her project, she showed me around for a while. And I can't believe she's afraid of these cute little ahbus!

Lomography is sapping me off my money! Every roll of film is $6+ and converting the negatives into CD is $9 per roll! I think digital photography (even if it's SLRs) is cheaper in the long run.. And there's photos of my creepy looking class chalet at Aloha Loyang..

I actually took quite a lot of photos of cats around our chalet, which my classmates fed them food so I could get close enough.. But only one turned out ok..

I realised Otani has quite board shoulders and thick neck though he's like a small boy boy while I was staring at the reference pic.. But the right part of his hair was covered by Risa, so I just added in..

Today, I was supposed to help Alfred again in his project but he decided that Punggol is more interesting than me so he decided to shoot Punggol instead.. Since the idea of shooting 300 shots bore him, we decided to have a break and went to watch 10000BC instead.. Quite a nice movie, worth watching!

Btw, I collected my second roll of film taken with the action sampler today! Including pics from Japan and those from Mutts and Mittens..

You may ask why I am not so particular about the sharpness of the pictures.. This is because Lomography is all about “Don't think; just shoot!"  You'll be surprised how random shots can be real great pieces of art..

I love its shocked face! Probably because the weird sound that Pop Cam makes when it snaps.. Pop Cam's continuous shooting of 4 frames is really great in capturing continuously fidgeting animals <3
