this is a long-awaited shoot.. finally get to see my dear shizu as a female character.. and she looks as good as always.. so pretty!!!!

Opening..

looks so sweet right? so different from her male cosplays

for those who are wondering where is this, this is chinese/japanese gardens.. if you think that this place is deserted YOU ARE SO WRONG!!! there were still few random tourists walking around and so MANY CONSTRUCTION WORKERS!!!

when shizu walked out of the toilet in her costume, she was muttering:"yes yes look at the freak!" lol.. a beautiful freak that was.. and there was this construction worker that stood so close to my shizu while they (shizu and angelzhou) were posing for me that for a moment i fear for her safety.. he obviously know that we were taking photos but he still stood there.. argghh!! damn pissed!! i was like furiously hand gesturing to them to move away from him.. but there were nice passer-by lahz.. there was this auntie who thought shizu was performing and even asked why shizu her eyes were red.. shizu tried very hard in her broken chinese to explain her but the auntie obviously don't know what contact lens are..

i love shizu and the big red doors of the giant pagoda! the colours totally matched!

i can't believe it rained when it was rather sunny in the morning.. shizu msged me at 12+pm and complained that it was raining heavily in Tampines.. i actually told her that it was sunny over at my side then a few minutes later, dark clouds gather and it RAINED!! the weather is so unpredictable nowadays..

it was still drizzling while we were at chinese gardens so the weather rather cooling.. but my poor shizu was still perspiring profusely! it's her satin costume lahz.. it traps heat!

shizu loves this one.. becoz of the way the sleeves fall to the ground.. she loves the sleeves of the costume lahz.. kept playing with it.. she's cute! haha.. xD

the faraway look..

actually the reason why shizu wanted a 2-6pm photoshoot was because we can capture the "golden hour".. but it was a rainy day and there was no golden to speak of..

YESH! the BIG PURPLE BOW! i love the BIG PURPLE BOW! shizu was irritated when miki (photog #2) and I were highing over her ultra cute bow in the toilet.. looks so cute on her! xD

i'm going for coscon this saturday.. that's why marinah's birthday dinner is pushed to sunday.. i actually decided not to go since the lighting conditions at suntec are so bad that i doubt i would have any good photos.. but my poor ahzu says she couldn't find anyone to go with her.. so i go lohz.. as long as she's there i will go lahz xD

TPVC's noticeboard needs members' photos as a showcase of our work.. the first photo i thought of submitting was shizu's (the first photo here).. i was surprised she didn't object since it's like in school and her friends might recognise her photo on the board.. thanks shizu! hahax.. when you think that you have good photos from a recent shoot, the previous good ones look so pale in comparison..

Potter Review

I bought the last installment of the series which kept us spell-bound for years on Saturday afternoon.. i wasn't crazy enough to join the crowd at 7.01am.. but i only managed to complete reading it yesterday..

was in a dilemma whether to finish it fast or slow.. fast because i fear those who rained me with spoilers.. slow because once you finish it's really the end..

the beginning was a bit slow moving but there was already a death in the first 10 chapters.. towards the end, it kept me glued to the pages so much as that i have to keeping pushing my irritating siblings away.. as what sherman would say: it's totally awesome.. (except for the gross ending..)

my favourite sentence from the book had to be from Ron's eccentric aunt: "Merlin's beard, what is Xenophilius Lovegood wearing? He looks like an omelette." how can anyone look like an omelette!! unless he/she is a bad egg, of course.. LOL!

SPOILER ALERT!!-please jump to SPOILER END if you haven't read the book..

the last book didn't fail to enchant us again despite its numerous references to previous books which i felt was quite redundant.. the mystery of the wizarding world still remains.. new spells, histories and legends still poke out of every page.. i'm surprised at the amount of new stuff that JK can conjour.. it's like this world totally exisit!! nevertheless, the last book fits the last missing piece of the jigsaw the previous books left..

Each character was developed fully throughout the 7 books.. even minor characters like Kreacher and Dobby.. even bad guys like Malfoy and Bellatrix.. JK had put across a striking difference between Voldermort and his followers, who were supposed to be as evil as him.. the Malfoys had their love for their family and Bellatrix's for her Dark Lord.. while the Dark Lord himself was totally devoid of love..

the starting wasn't as intriguing.. the part where they were camping from forest to forest was really boring.. it was so monotonous.. but i like Kreacher! after he turned kind and happy of course! the front part was difficult to get through but once you reach around chapter 20 it should be ok..

the last few chapters were really captivating especially the chapter where Snape's past was revealed.. poor Snape he was deemed a bad egg even till the moment he died.. his name was only cleared when Harry gazed into the Pensive.. i couldn't guess that the sliver doe was his.. (i suspected it was Dumblerdore's) now i can understand his mixed feelings towards Harry- the son of the woman he loved and the man he loathed..

the sad thing is JK really killed Dumblerdore.. when i read HBP, i half-heartedly took in the fact that he died, knowing that in book 7 that it would be another clever plot of his.. but after reading like 3/4 of the book, i still don't see Dumlerdore rising from the dead.. well, accept it-HE'S DEAD!! T-T

and how could Fred die?!!?! George losing a ear was bad enough.. i would rather George than Fred dying though.. because the one left would be more complete.. though they would never really be complete without one another..

I just love herminone and ron.. and it's just so expected that they would end up together.. i love bickering couples who eventually end up together.. Throughout the whole book, it's so evident that Ron was so protective of Herminone, shouting at everyone who was treating her badly.. but the part after he destryed the locket, he mentioned that he loved herminone as a sister.. i was so sad.. for a moment, i thought they wouldn't be together.. i was so happy that Hermonine finally realised Ron likes her and kissed him at the end.. Hermonine may be smart but she can be quite an idiot when it comes to love..

BUT WHY WHY WHY Potter have to end up with Ginny?!?!? i would rather Cho Chang or some random girl (or can't he just DIE?!) than to marry his best friend's sister.. i mean ron already expressed his disgust over harry snogging ginny.. to me, Ginny is like a sister to Harry.. so how can he marry his sister?!?! GROSS! EEWWWW!

Despite all the mysteries unfolding themselves, there are still things i don't understand.. what's the use of collecting the Deathly Harrows? (he didn't even put them together!!) why didn't Harry die when Voldermort die? Why was Draco the master of the Elder Wand? Why Draco's original ward become the Elder Wand? Why King Cross? What is Dumblerdore actually? How did Gordic's sword come out of the sorting hat when the globin got it? Is there a significance in each of them each killing a Horcux? WHYWHYWHY must Black die? (JK just made him die for no reason..)

lastly, why do ang mohs like to name their kids after their parents or people they know? won't it be weird? i mean like a certain name would strike a certain image in your mind.. hmmx.. and i would like to know whether Teddy Lupin is a werewolf..

does anyone besides me thought that Lily Potter (in the movie) look like JK Rowling? i always have the impression that they look alike.. after all, JK Rowling is the mother of Harry Potter..

Cosfest 2007- Day 2 & 3

Finally, i'm done with the photos so i can put up here to show you guys.. it was sure a hectic weekend plus almost a week long of editing the 200 odd pics.. that's why my coming weekend is quiet to enable me to read my Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows!!! yesh! i'm collecting it this sat!

Then she said:"I'm Yiwen!" i guessed my brain processing power must be Pentium I coz it took me more than a minute to realise which Yiwen is she.. like OMG.. looks so different and i didn't know she's into cosplay too!

Cosfest Day 3- 15th July (Sun)

had to bring someone to view Milo at MnM before going to Cosfest.. since both are in Pasir Ris, it's quite convenient, especially with swiftwing driving.. muhahaha..

on the way to MnM, i received a msg from feli saying that SHIZU IS SICK AND SHE CAN'T MAKE IT FOR COSFEST!!!! T-T damn sad.. it's gonna be the first time i see shizu in a girl's costume and she had to be sick.. see lahz.. she was so stressed that her costume wasn't complete on Saturday (becoz she left a freaking ear ring at home and she was so freaked out!).. stressed making costumes and completing school assignments! chill girl, relax.. and must importantly takkarie!!!

of coz a trip to MnM isn't complete without seeing my beloved SNUFFY!!!

ahbu & snuffy

nah, snuffy is not up adoption.. she's just there for a boarding of 6months.. this auntie working at MnM was saying i spoiled Snuffy.. BUTBUTBUT.. Snuffy is tooo CUTE to be shouted at.. of coz, she wouldn't listen to my commands lahz.. coz i can't bear to raise my voice at her.. Snuffy is meant to be spoiled! xD

after MnM, we headed down to Downtown East! and zx and her friend Gladdie were already there! i got a feeling that if i don't post this photo, i will get blackmailed..

when ahbu meets gladdie.. ahbu was cosplaying as Tigger while Galddie was a jrocker!

so zx and gladdie were off to explore Cosfest while ahbu does her photo-taking..

my class guys are crazy over this cosplayer.. lol

Special Request..

there's a little story behind this photo.. shizu messaged me while i was shooting and ask me to look for this blue hair gothic loilta with a saber and an eye patch.. ok if it's normal day it would be easy but at Cosfest, there are PLENTY of blue-headers around.. when i was going to message shizu asking her how the hell i'm gonna find her, i saw HER!! OMG.. it's so damn fated! when i looked up from my handphone i found her!! hence, i completed my bishie's request..



took photos of kyoist and together we called shizu on my handphone.. when she picked up the phone her voices sounded sooo MAANNNN.. whoa! sexy! hahax.. she had sore thoart lahz.. couldn't really talk.. just told her to takkaire and that i've got pics for her =)

Day 3 is the day where all the PRO cosplayers like lenneth and kyoist came.. it was a bigger event than Saturday too! like the competition and shows.. too bad shizu missed out on all the excitement..

she's like so damn late coz she needa get the bunny ears and THAT GUITAR!!!! speaking of that guitar, she spent $100+ on it just for this event.. the day before i borrowed jq's for her but it didn't really matched what she wanted so that same night she messaged me to tell me that she's buying one.. LIKE OMG!!! CRAZY GIRL!!! on sunday morning, she messaged to say that her bunny ears can't stand and so i went around looking and managed to find one at $12.. but it wasn't accurate again.. so she cut the original and used the wire frame to stuff in the PVC ears she prepared.. CRAZY!!!! after i passed her the ears, she passed me the guitar she bought asking me to find shino to help her string her guitar.. do you know how difficult it is to carry a heavy guitar and look for a Titus cosplayer in that crowd? After he did the stringing, i still had to borrow scissors to cut away the excess string.. finally, after everything is done i had to carry the guitar around with me till feli arrived.. you can imagine how many photos i took during this time..

after all that trouble, you wouldn't think i would be satisfied with only one photo of her, would you?




she also created lotsa frenzy becoz of her costume.. all the hentai jijis were all gathering.. lol! she wanted to tag me for the whole day but my photo-taking was stalled becoz i had to wait for 496837 other photogs to shoot her before moving on.. (i eventually gave up waiting and went to shoot other cosplayers, returning back only to find that she was still posing for photos..-.-") i was occasionally useful as a shield for her to hide behind and pull up her top..

JIANG SHI!!

i super love this photo!! NO EDITING INVOLVED!!!! the lighting was natural.. sorry to the cosplayer for wanting this weird pose.. lol.. but i really got the effect i wanted.. =)

My last pose!

she actually wanted to go for dinner (plus her friend was still waiting for her for dinner) before i stopped her.. so she was like "last pose last pose! no more after that!" i'm glad this photo turned out well..

well, i learned something from feli- that cosplay photos need A LOT OF PHOTOSHOP!! cosplayers needa look plastic and fake.. unlike what our boss, cw, used to say, photoshop is actually GOOD in this scene.. cw used to brag about good photogs' photos which need minimal PS but still look good.. so do not expect me to blog about my cosplay shoots till like 1-2weeks after the shoot..

i'm booked for 3 of shizu's shoots! looking forward to them!

Cosfest Day 1- 070707

GREEN DAY!! and i wore ASc's green t-shirt to shizu's ouran photoshoot.. and i finally saw shizu's REAL HAIR!! lol.. when she told me she could style her hair to look like kyouya's i was like O.O!! well, her hair is short but it's feminine!! with 2 long strands at her sides..

shizu brought her sony alpha too!! she bought this DSLR for her one month long course in her design class then didn't really use it anymore.. it's like Nikon! as in the functions lahz.. but the shutter sound like what shizu described is orgasmic.. it's the dampened sound very much like the Canon 30D!! oh mianz..

shizu:"i blame my lecturer for making us buy this camera!"

shizu look so bishie as kyouya right? when she was doing her make-up and hair in the toilet, we were already like "shizu, you look SO SHUAI as kyouya!!" oh yesh, i love her cross-dressing.. she always look so good.. if only real guys look so good..

The Twins!

the twins are my favourite characters from the anime.. (but in cosplay, kyouya is always my favourite character.. coz for my 2 ouran shoots, the kyouyas are SO SHUAI!!) was a bit disappointed when i saw that their wigs are not accurate.. too neon!! but nevertheless, their character portrayal was PEEEERRRFECT!! they were able to "eat each other's tofu" so naturally even though they hardly know each other.. and rieyn is another bishie.. xDD

it was a very short shoot and we were sooo behind schedule.. we were supposed to reach Taka for Cosfest before 4pm but at 4pm we were still at Esplanade lahz! so we cabbed down to Taka.. BUT only shizu managed to get into the taxi with me and 2 other non-cosplayers.. coz the twins wigs are too NEON!! all the taxi uncles must have thought that they are terrorists.. lol

so i arrived at Taka.. my bishie had to go to the toilet to touch-up while i met yuning and went in.. and guess what? there were SECURITY CHECKS!! coz the GOH is MM LKY.. so mafan.. haiz~

but i only went in for like 5min saw and shot shino and a few other cosplayers i know then i zhao to suntec for my work, which i totally regret.. when i was on the escalator towards the underground platform, i suddenly saw a dash of ORANGE!! i turned to see the twins and the rest of the ouran team going up the escalator.. lol.. no taxis wanna take them..

AND I TOTALLY REGRET GOING FOR THE JOB!!!! zj's good lobang mianz.. even she thinks it's lowly paid for such a job.. i thought we get to shoot a company function budden we just go there to operate a instant photo printing machine.. we worked late into the night for a mere 80 bucks!!!!

when i came home and saw the pics the other photogs took i was O.O!!! I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AT COSFEST!! i missed out on SO MUCH FUN!! i missed out so much ON MY BISHIE SHIZU!!! AARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! SHIZU, PLEASE DO SOME ONE BISHIE THIS WEEKEND!!! I WANT MORE BISHIE SHOTS OF YOU.. xDDD (btw, you could be a shuai ren (jigoku) or a shuai zero (vk) or a shuai kai (beyblade)! i'm waiting.....)

i suddenly realised how much i love cosplay photography.. though it doesn't pay it gives you great satisfaction when you post online and others comment that they like it.. and you get to meet interesting and fun people.. ANDD you get to fall in love with good looking bishies!!! how i wished i can shoot cosplay forever with shizu as my cosplayer model.. muahahaha!!!

i got a feeling that if shizu reads this entry she's gonna bish me!! hahax.. just don't let me bump into her in school! >-<
