was sick since yest.. got a bad cold- body aches, headache, cough n fever.. tink got infected by qi xuan.. ya he has recovered.. no fever liaoz.. now my turn lohz.. but it's not his fault lahz.. it's my immune sys lousy.. but i tink shld b ok by tmr ba.. now feeling much beta le.. i not as lousy as qi xuan to b sick for 4days.. 2days i ok le.. =)
aft a close shave in India, andrew's finally back!!! sorta miss tt guy while he's not ard.. he's lyk a big gor gor to PS.. when he was ard, we (e excos) wld often go for outings-pool, movies n wad hav u.. nowadays seldom hav such things.. dunno y lahz.. izzit bcoz we r short of e 'initiator' (andrew) or everybody's juz too bz preparing for e big seminar n minding our own biz.. oh, 4got to mention wad's andrew's close shave.. he n his fren were patrolling when they met dis mad indian man wif a rifle.. den e mad man fired a shot tt brushed thru his tighs.. lyk whoa.. but lucky he's back in one piece..

argh!! i tink e heaven's punishing me.. ok letme explain.. jing ngei pls listen: 1st tuition was supposed to end at 4 at douby ghuat so i can reach je at 430 but it ended late.. out of e rush to get to je i 4got my file n only rmbed when i was at city hall.. so turned back to get it.. coz my REAP cert is inside!! n guess wad when i reached douby ghuat, it wasn't e way i rmb it to b - it was raining cats n dogs!!!!! i dun rmb it raining when i left it.. lyk wth.. so ran over to get my file n ran all e way back den took train to je.. all wet.. n i wonder y e train's air-con was so cooling today..
when i reached je jing ngei was no where in sight.. he muz hav left in a fit of anger.. called him n 1st thing i said was sorry.. he turned up a while later wif a face tt was red wif fury n was toking into e phone.. he passed me e gaintatic file (which was our purpose of meeting up.. to return me my phy notes which his sis borrowed a yr ago n now my cousin needs it..) n turned away immediately stil toking into e phone.. i've no chance to explain or to redeem myself.. i found out later tt he was toking to his mum n was being scolded for not going home aft his lessons ended..

den e VIP came n everything started.. den came all e speeches.. in a flash it was shermen's time to present his proj le.. we added oil for him n up he goes n guess wad.. he's gd mianz!!! aft shermen was prashna, den perry den emily.. den ME!!! *lub-dubs super loud* when emily was ending, qi xuan hu was sitting beside jonathon hu was bside me, held out his hand n said,"shake my hand." i shook it n he commented tt it was cold.. ya of coz.. i was NERVOUS!!!
so up i went clicked e play button n e video started rolling.. ok not bad.. e response was wad i wanted.. at least they laughed at places they were supposed to.. a production tt took me mths only took 3 mins to present itself.. den came my speech.. i fumbled at 1st.. blew into e mic.. n i started of nervously but e confidence slowly surged into me n e rest of e sppech when on smoothly.. =)
aft tt everyone went on stage to collect their book prize which was $600 n aft everyone had finished i presented a bouquet to e VIP.. den out we went to stand bside our posters.. oh 4got to mention tt qi xuan's a prof huang!!! shermen told me tt his photoshoped his fig lahz!! hahax.. i tried to irritate him budden he of coz denied.. hahax.. ok budden e ppl were nice n din post difficult qns.. yuppx.. den came one friendly teacher fr innova.. (how i wish clement ong wld b lyk him) hu wanted e video to b showed in his college to get e students to go for research.. of coz tho it was my production i was in no position to decide.. i refered him to clement ong.. but i'm glad tt sumone appreciates my work =)
in e midst of taking photos, qinfang (yesh.. aj even sent its own photographer) told me she heard sum rumours.. hmmx.. how did it speard de?! ok nvm.. but it left me wif a gd feeling.. heex..

aft tt we-emily, her bf fr her lab (dunno e name), shermen, alston, perry, jonathon, qi xuan n me-went ps.. actually was quite surprised tt qi xuan postponed his swimming training to tmr juz for dis occasion.. i mean swimming's his life lahz.. but wadeva.. was happy tt he cld join us.. n he was sooooo nice to help me carry my bag which contained e heavy 300D (kope fr qinfang) all e way.. thanx qi xuan!!!!
we tried to pang seh emily n her bf.. budden e operation failed lahz.. hahax.. so most of e time i'm wif e other 5 guys lohz.. whoa.. haven been home so early in qt a long time but i'm home early wif lotsa neocards to do.. so not much of a diff.. but wadeva i'm gonna blog 1st..
today during bio lect, we were given a tok by jeremy seow (09's 1st 3mths bio tutor; ex-ajian; present medical student in aust) at 1st look u noe he's fr aj le.. tt typical mugger, nerdy look but i hafda applaude his confidence to giv a speech despite his nerdy/lonely/unsocialble outlook.. if not for his freq folding of arms, shifting of weight n loss of eye contact, i wld say tt he's a great speaker.. well, at least e content was useful..
so it's true.. it's a out-to-kill situation there in medial sch.. scary rite? imagine not having a true fren to tok to while u're miserably memorising how ur heart functions.. n he gav e pre-requisites of studying medicine.. e most impt of all was of coz having lotsa $$$.. (tho lyk wad he said having a passion for medicine is of coz crucial) coz a course in medicne overseas over 6yrs is lyk half a million.. jeremy muz b flithy rich mianz..
it aso seems lyk s'pore uni medical sch r more into 'traditional' forms of teaching medicine while overseas uses PBL.. if u ask me, i wld prefer e 'traditional' one rather than studying n researching independly wif PBL.. i mean s'pore's educational sys is still v 'spoon-feeding' it's v diff to step out of one's comfort zones to adopt a new style of learning.. jeremy muz b so adaptable to hav not dropped out in his 1st 2yrs..
at e end of his tok he gav a bit of his own tot of reflections.. imagine reading medical journals at e age of 14.. i mean at 14 i wld rather read Princess Diaries, Mag Cabot n Harry Potter.. ok for normal guy i dunno wad u wld read but medical journal?! tt's so out lahz.. i almost dieded reading sci journals in my 2mths at tll.. i can't blif he read medical journals at 14.. OMG.. i really wonder if he socialise in sch.. lyk hu wld hav e same interest of reading medical journal lyk him?!
den he go on to say his choice of taking bio in aj for e sake of medicine n blah blah blah.. personally, i took bio coz i hav nth else to take (fmaths-i dun hav e aptitude for it.. econs-writing essay ekes me off.. arts is sooo outta e qn n so is chiA) but since i'm doing rather ok -cannot say well- in it, i'll juz carry on lohz.. it's aso partly bcoz i've always wanted to do vet sci lahz.. but looking at e prospects.. unless my parents struck Toto dis wkend or i secure a scholarship, i dun tink it's possible.. mayb i shld take up pet grooming courses instead.. hmmx.. i juz wanna do sth animal-related.. i luv animals so much tt sumtimes i tink tt their lives r as impt as ours.. so y aren't there vet sci sch in s'pore?!
aft his tok i really had an insight into medicine studies n hav seriously decided not to venture into dis area.. 1st i dun hav e passion.. 2nd i dun hav e $$$.. 3rd i dun wanna b in a sch where no one cares abt anything except results.. (being in aj is euff)
plus, clement ong gav e stats of ajians getting into medicine.. it's lyk 1 or 2 in every cohort lohz.. tt's lyk so pathetic.. i dun tink anyone dis yr will make it.. coz clement ong hav always been saying tt tho we hav beta L1R5 we r worse off den e last few batches..
